gemshorn (Medieval chamois or goat horn)
~ Wind instrument
Description
Medieval or possibly older, it was historically made of goat-horns or, less commonly, clay. With only a few holes and a single octave range it was used pastorally. Modern revival variants are more complicated and are usually made of cattle-horn.
