was originally known from 1957–1985 as United Western Recorders, Bill Putnam's recording studio complex located at 6000 & 6050 Sunset Blvd., before Putnam sold it to Allen Sides. but in 1999, the original Western Recorders facility at 6000 Sunset Blvd. was sold to Cello Recording Studios (now EastWest Studios) and Sides retained the building next door (United Recorders) at 6050 Sunset Blvd.
