Fats Domino Blues

~ Recording by Fats Domino

Annotation

On the British LP 'Rare Dominos' (Liberty LBL 83174) an unknown instrumental (not by Domino) was issued as Fats Domino Blues, while Fats Domino Blues in turn was issued as Don't Leave Me This Way. When Ace Records re-issued the LP as 'Boogie Woogie Baby' (CHD 140), they tried to correct the mistake and re-named Fats Domino Blues (Don't Leave Me This Way) as the fictive Ninth Ward Blues. What they overlooked was that Fats Domino Blues wasn't Fats Domino Blues on 'Rare Dominos'.
(Note from booklet of release 'Out of New Orleans', page 50.)
