17/08/2023 WIP - this needs to be fixed. Album and single has been merged. Possibly an error... but maybe not. This "album version" is on many "Singles" compilations, but not really any difference from the between the two.

I have three versions to compare

"Warriors" on the "God Save the Box!" compilation. AcoustID: https://acoustid.org/track/299a5915-2061-4500-ba3d-23bd29d18c87

This version of the album includes both the "album" version and the "single" in the extra tracks.

Album AcoustID 7109a583-2b6d-466c-8430-71c7a3f94f69 and Single AcoustID is 04257dc2-d574-476c-95da-dfb59e1661b2

Comparing in Audacity, all three are near enough the same. The just get progressively louder. The peaks clipping more and more.

God Save the Box! is clearest peaks, album is clipping a little, and single has it all turned up to 11. Play 'em in sync and I can't spot any differences here.

Will poke this around a bit more in coming days, but might as well merge single and album versions as they are the same recording, just differences in the mastering.

(Easier than untangling the many "singles" compilations that are linked to the album version of the track...)

I was in New Mills in June. Damn fine chippy. Huge cod in batter for a fiver.
