A Celtic Woman classic, "A New Journey" was released in 2007 featuring six artists: Chloë Agnew, Órla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, Máiréad Nesbitt, and newcomer Hayley Westenra. With both traditional Celtic and Irish songs ("Mo Ghile Mear") as well as more modern songs ("Over the Rainbow"), the album provides a beautiful mix to please both the traditionalists and the newcomers. It follows in the steps of "Anuna," the choir of the phenomenal show Riverdance, and solo artist Enya.

"A New Journey" complements Celtic Woman's previous album, "Celtic Woman" with its melodies that transport listeners to Ireland. Performed at Slane Castle in County Meath, Ireland, "A New Journey" is Celtic Woman's second on-stage production. In addition to singing, Órla Fallon plays the harp, and Máiréad Nesbitt plays the fiddle.

While the songs certainly focus on Celtic Woman's vocal talents, the instrumental isn't lacking. A full orchestra and a dedicated percussionist keep a factor of awe throughout the album. Furthermore, "A New Journey" combines fast-paced songs such as "Dulaman" and slower songs like "Scarborough Fair."

"A New Journey" is a great album for a relaxing and peaceful day.
