Seven Come Eleven
~ Release by Lionel Hampton featuring Dexter Gordon (see all versions of this release, 1 available)
Annotation
Personnel added according to listening to each track and also according to internet search. It is thus most likely that all tracks originate from just two sessions, i.e. from 1977-11-11 and from 1977-10-25.
Concerning tracks 7, Volare (Nel blu dipinto di blu), and 9, Blues for Hamp, more weight is given to the record "Lionel Hampton Featuring Hank Jones – Who's Who In Jazz Presents" (https://musicbrainz.org/release/7ae6a9df-6a77-4caf-95c8-5ce2d2e3eae0), than to what is stated in the booklet of this release. Hence, the two tracks are associated with the session from 1977-11-11. However, it remains uncertain from which of the two sessions originates track 8, Misty. Therefore, the drummer of the date, either Oliver Jackson or Grady Tate, cannot be identified with certainty.
