SPD Mixtape #03: The Argentine Güachx Scene

For our Mixtape #03 we have the idea of bring together different artists working in the field of Trap music and new electronic from different parts of Argentina.

The results are these 19 tracks, from different provinces and cities, some very distant relative to each other, and with notable differences, not only in terms of aesthetics, but also in terms of speech, lyrics and ways of approaching electronic and digital music.

- What/Why we call "Argentine 'Güacho' Scene"?

Güacho (male) Güacha (fem): also can be 'Wacho/a'
Original meaning:
1- Orphan, without living parents or unknown father.
Ex. (a) This kid is a güacho and we have raised in the house.
Ex. (b) That guy is a wacho, the mother has had maiden.

2- Bad person.
Ex. That guy is a güacho, dont trust him.

ALSO
Güacho is like saying 'asshole' or 'pendejo' or 'bitch'.
For example, at the beginning of a fight you can say: What's wrong with you wacho, are you going to fight?" or..."Dont fuck with me, wacho"...or even "Are you talking to me, wacho?"

BUT ABOVE ALL
Güachx it's an expression of complicity, a way of call EVERY YOUNG BUDDY we have.

Examples:
(a) When you see a friend who doesnt see in a long time:
- Hey Wacho, how are you!? ☺

(b) When you like so much a girl.
- I love this wacha ♥

(c) When you listen some good music at the party
- This song is the shit, wacho! ♪ ♫
