Annotation

Biannual prize for musical composition awarded by the Royal Academy of Belgium, founded in 1933. It rewards every musician under 50 who resides in Belgium at the time of registration as an author of an original musical work of at least twelve minutes, in a prescribed musical genre, alternating with each edition between music by chamber, music for ensemble, orchestral music, vocal music and electronic music.
